Class 1

Overview:  
In this class an introduction to the course is presented including the importance of definition, especially for terms such as apologetics, atheist, agnostic, etc.  The class also provides information on how atheists and skeptics like Josh McDowell, C.S. Lewis, and Lee Strobel have not only accepted Christ, but have become defenders of the faith.

Class 2

 

Overview: In this class discussion centers on the writings of Josh McDowell, Evidence that Demands a Verdict and Lee Strobel, The Case for Christ.  A key point covered during this class involves how a changed life is evidence that Jesus Christ lives.

Class 3

 

Overview: In this class discussion covers Jesus a man of history, the significance of Jesus’ Deity, and the importance of love when sharing evidence with another.

Class 4

 

Overview: In this class discussion covers the different types of evidence such as eyewitness, documentary, corroborating, etc.  Discussion focuses on the reliability of scripture (namely, the Gospels).

Overview: In this class discussion focused on Logic and Argument with special emphasis on Fallacy. At the center of the discussion was an article entitled “Fallacies” from the Writing Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Key to the teaching is the importance of being led by the Holy Spirit when entering into a discussion with an Atheist, Agnostic, or a member of another religion.
